What Participants Say About the IIM Calcutta Executive Programme in Public Policy and Management

Professionals who complete the IIM Calcutta Executive Programme in Public Policy and Management consistently describe it as a perspective-shifting experience — one that replaces narrow functional thinking with a multi-disciplinary understanding of how policy shapes business, governance, and society.

The cohort stands out as a defining feature. With peers from government, consulting, banking, education, energy, and technology, participants find the cross-sector exchange of ideas as valuable as the curriculum itself. For private sector professionals, this is often their first structured exposure to regulatory frameworks, government-corporate dynamics, and policy-driven decision-making — and they describe leaving with a sharper ability to anticipate how policy impacts their organisations.

The combination of IIM Calcutta's academic rigour, a faculty deeply embedded in real-world policy practice, and a capstone project built around live policy challenges makes this programme stand out for anyone working at the intersection of business, governance, and social impact.
